INDUSTRIAL ENERGY EFFICIENCY PROGRAMS
The Industrial
Energy Efficiency Program (IEEP), administered by the Governor's Office of Energy and
Community Services (ECS), is a statewide program offering services to industrial
manufacturers to help improve cost-competitiveness by:
- Improving technology performance
- Increasing energy efficiency
- Optimizing manufacturing methods
One of the key elements of
IEEP is the Industries of the Future Program.
Mission
The goal of IEEP is to help manufacturers achieve energy and
resource efficiency, while reducing operating costs and adverse environmental impacts.
How Do We Accomplish Our Mission?
ECS, in conjunction with the Business and Industry Association of New
Hampshire's WasteCap Resource Conservation
Network, has established a range of programs to provide technical
assistance to New Hampshire manufacturing companies interested in pursuing energy
efficiency and operating cost reductions. Partnerships have been established with
statewide and federal organizations, including the following:
What Does the Program Offer?
Manufacturing plant assessments include a thorough energy audit
that results in a comprehensive report on opportunities for improving energy efficiency
and productivity.
Technical assistance provides manufacturers with access to the latest
industrial technologies and practices.
- Assistance with preparing grant applications to the US Department of
Energy (DOE).
DOE offers various competitive funding programs for manufacturers
and researchers developing innovative technologies. Applications are accepted through the
Governor's Office of Energy and Community Services.
- Information about US Department of Energy's Technology Application
Software.
ECS offers information and software for manufacturers from DOE's Industrial BestPractices
Program, including a compendium of technical assistance for electric motors, pumps,
Adjustable Speed Drive (ASD), compressed air systems, and steam generation and
distribution systems.
- Referrals to other programs offered by IEEP partners.
